I have weaned by son onto baby food and he poos constantly what should I do?

A Once babies start on solids, bowel movements change and sometimes vary from movement to movement. It is common for some babies to poo frequently and that depends on the food given and also on the maturity of the gut. It could be that you are giving lots of fruit and vegetables? Take a look at your baby’s diet by writing down everything you give him and try to adjust the quantities of fruit and vegetable. As long as he does not have diarrhea with offensive and watery stools and they do not contain mucus you can continue to give him solids. Use a good barrier cream e.g. Vaseline and consult your Health Visitor for advice about his diet.
