Since birth my son has not settled on his back and was advised to lie him on his side. He wont settle like this anymore and will only sleep on his front which I have been advised not to do. I have tried swaddling him but it does not work. He wont settle in his car seat whether it is moving in his buggy or car, he wont settle in a swing chair. He will only calm down and stop screaming if I pick him up and cuddle him with his head on my shoulder. This is all day everyday! I feel I have tried everything and am starting to get a bit upset as taking him for walks is not enjoyable as all he does is scream and cry!

A It sounds like your son could be suffering from some colic that is upsetting him, you could try to offer him colief anti colic treatment with every feed and see if that helps: Visit www.britannia-health.co.uk/colief.htm for more advise

You could also try to massage his tummy after feeds and see if that helps.

When you are going out you could try to carry your baby in a baby sling/papoose as that may reduce the crying
