Up until a few days ago our little girl was very happy and contented but now she has totally changed. She seems to scream lots and for no apparent reason, she'll scream if she's down, she'll scream if she's being held, she'll scream if we're playing with her and so it goes on. We can't think of anything that has changed to bring on the screaming so we're really stuck with what to do about it. It's really breaking my heart to listen to her screaming and not being able to do anything about it.

She sleeps really well, about 12 hours at night and a good few naps during the day so I don't think she is overtired but I can't think what else it could be. Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

A Your daughter could be teething so you could try to use a teething gel and a teething ring to soothe her.

She could have some tummy upset. If she is slightly constipated you could offer her some cool boiled water and see if that helps.

It is difficult to say what could be making her so upset but if this continues you could make an appointment to see your GP to get your baby checked over.
