How do I prevent my baby getting nappy rash again?

A You can prevent nappy rash by changing the nappy frequently whether you are using disposable nappies or terry nappies. If you are using terry nappies use a nappy liner because this will protect your babies skin. Clean the nappy area with a mild unscented soap and water. Use a separate sponge or cloth for washing the nappy area. Use a waterproof barrier ointment to the nappy area to protect the skin after each nappy change e.g. Vaseline or Bepanthen. Baby wipes can be too harsh for your baby’s skin if used all the time, so only use them when it is not convenient to wash your baby with soap and water.
