How much milk is the average 9 month old supposed to have during the day i give my son three 7oz bottles but is starting to go off them?

A The recommendations are one pint of milk a day. The reason behind this is because of the recommended calcium intake for babies up to one year is 525 mg per day and a pint of milk although slightly above this is the easiest way to ensure that they receive the recommended amount. However your baby will be eating many foods by now and some foods such as yoghurts, cheese, green vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, cabbage, bread & potatoes contain calcium. I suggest that you give two 5-6 oz's milk feeds daily, one in the morning and one in the evening and another drink of milk 2-3 oz's during the day with some on the breakfast cereal. If your baby is having yogurts or cheese during the day as well he will be having a good intake of calcium. Aim to replace at least two bottle milk feeds by the time he is one year and encourage him to drink from a cup at meal times.
