My two-month-old daughter has cradle cap. I have tried cradle cap shampoo and baby oil but it is still there. Can you suggest something?

A Cradle cap is very common in babies. It is a type of dermatitis in which greasy scales appear on the scalp. It responds well to a massage with Aqueous Cream, which is a light, non-greasy moisturiser that provides a layer of oil on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface.

• Massage the cream into the scalp twice a day to loosen the greasy scales on the scalp. Follow this up by shampooing to remove them and the cream
• It may take several days before you see an improvement
• Continue to moisturise the scalp morning and evening even after the condition has cleared up
• Aqueous Cream is available over the counter at your pharmacy or by prescription from your GP or Health Visitor.
• If the condition continues or becomes worse it would be best to consult your GP for further treatment.
