How do I Encouraging learning and play with my 4- 7 month year old?.

A A babies learning within this age range focuses very much on what child development theorists call object permanence. This is that your child will begin to realize that people and objects can still exist even when they are out of sight.

You may already notice your baby searching for toys that you have hidden or dropped. Thus, exploration is a very big part of your Childs learning during this age range, so encourage their learning by stimulating their curiosity. You can do this by playing hide and seek or peek-a-boo with your baby or hiding toys for them to find.

One of the most important things to do at this age range or even before, is to start reading to your child. If you don’t have any books presently don’t worry because at your Childs 7-9 month check you will get a free pack of books from book start

Reading to your child is essential. This is because research suggests that reading to your child can help them gain strong language, literacy and numeracy skills these skills can in turn give them:

“……. a developmental head start that improves the life chances of individuals through childhood and into adult life” (bookstart 2008).

What better way to be a good parent than preparing your child to be successful in their adult life.
