That said routines can often be a problem when thinking of going
on holiday. Often you will find your toddler will only use the same potty and
will only like to use it in the same room. So the best thing to do in this case
is discuss the holiday with your toddler and the fact that the potty/toilet
can be found or used in different rooms in other places. Explain that Mum and
Dad will be using a different toilet too.
Remember to pack your Childs favourite potty and reward system
or sticker chart. Stick to the same plan as much as you can. Some children like
to have their favourite toy to accompany them on the potty or even to use the
potty first. So don’t forget this too!
Once you’re away it might take a while for your child
to get used to using the potty in different surroundings so accidents will happen.
Remember to be patient and encouraging. As at home if you go out and about take
the potty with you. Also take your child’s favorite toy and reward system
as you do at home.
