provides Health
Visitors advice
and information for non-urgent
queries to UK residents only related to the postnatal
period and parenting infants and children 0-5 years only within
the United Kingdom. This is not a substitute for obtaining
qualified medical advice to treat a health problem or illness
or a substitute for your local Health Visitors care. Ask
a Health Visitor © does not endorse any of
the treatments or products discussed herein.
For queries related to pregnancy and birth;

reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at
any time by posting changes online. You are responsible for
regularly reviewing information that we post online to get
notice of such changes and amendments.
SERVICE
Ask
a Health
Visitor ©
is a professional, personalized email based midwifery consultancy
service for any person who has a question relating to parenting
infants and children 0-5 years only.
For queries related to pregnancy and birth;
To ensure
a quality and consistent service, questions and answers are
reviewed by two qualified Health
Visitors
prior to responses being returned. Ask a Health
Visitor ©
is only available to users within the Untied Kingdom.
No promises
are made, given or intended by the advice or information given
by Ask a Health
Visitor ©
and no information, advice or diagnosis made shall be deemed
the only or best possible at that time with respect to the
matter in question.
We will
respond to every email request in a prompt and thorough manner,
and an acknowledgement of your email will be sent to you immediately.
While our aim is to respond to your question within 7 working
days, there may be occasions when further information needs
to be researched and you will be informed of this process,
therefore no response time limit will be guaranteed. At times
we may not be able to respond to your query as quickly as
we would like due to circumstances beyond our control. If
you are at all worried about the health of yourself or your
baby you should seek medical advice immediately.
PERSONAL

When you
use this service, it will be necessary for us to collect certain
information about you. Ask a Health

will make clear when you are being asked to submit any information
about yourself and how that information will be treated. The
use of any personal information will be in accordance with

rude or aggressive towards our Health Visitors and midwives,
contact will be terminated

have asked your question, you agree not to use Ask
a Health

in a manner that is prohibited by any law or regulation,
or to facilitate the violation of any law or regulation;
- (ii)
to invade the privacy of third parties;
- (iii)
to impersonate Ask a Health
Visitor © personnel
or other parties or entities;
- (iv)
to transmit unlawful, fraudulent, offensive, obscene, pornographic,
defamatory, abusive, threatening, or otherwise objectionable
material, or
- (v)
to encourage conduct that would give rise to civil or criminal
liability; not to violate, or assist in violating, the security
of e-med, whether intentionally, negligently or otherwise.

ASK A HEALTH VISITOR PAY AS YOU GO SERVICE
Due to the popularity of our Ask a Health Visitor © service a ‘Pay as you go’ service has been established. Each user will pay a small fee of £5.00 for each Ask a Health Visitor © Credit. One credit entitles each user to ask one question to a Professional Health Visitor. Users can purchase any number of credits which entitles them to use the service at any time.
Our general terms & conditions apply to the Ask a Health Visitor © Pay as you go Service
If a user asks more than one question in their email, and the questions are independent of each other, the replying Health Visitor will decide the priority question and respond to this. The user will be encouraged to re-submit question not answered.
All users’ payments will be made via the secure online system PayPal.
Requests for refund will need to be stated in writing and will be considered. (See procedure for 'Complaints')
