This is a great game when the sun is shining and is usually accompanied by squeals of delight. If you do not have a garden you can play it in the park.

You will need

• Empty plastic washing up liquid containers or water pistols if you have them
• There are also water balloons on the market
• Water

How to play

• Fill up the plastic containers or water pistols with water
• Have a water fight with your child and some invited children to share in the fun
• A garden hose can also be a fun way to play this game
• Ask parents to supply a change of clothes for the invited children just in case they get too wet
• Have a nice favourite tasty snack for afterwards e. g. ice cream or ice lollies
