Here are two fabulous products that can make parents lives a lot easier. You can pass this information on to your clients either in clinic or in client’s homes while carrying out visits. They can also be shared at postnatal groups.

Babies and infants are predominantly placed on their backs for the majority of time. This is because of safety reasons especially when sleeping in reducing the risk of cot death and many infants are frequently placed in carriers, car seats and bouncy chairs etc.
Unfortunately this has resulted in babies and infants having a reduced experience in prone positions. Therefore, we all know the importance of advising parents to place their babies from 2 months of age onto their tummies for short periods, which of course has to always be supervised. This will ultimately promote gross motor milestone acquisition, will facilitate crawling and will allow infants to develop their upper extremity strength. Prone position is also an excellent position for babies with some degree of plagiocephaly.

The following product is an excellent toy which promotes prone positioning. This product not only will keep babies entertained due to its rolling function, but parents can support their babies on their tummies while resting on this roller. Babies love it! www.elc.co.uk

As we all know most parents can find bath times with their babies quite a frightening experience. As new parents, skills in handling babies not to mention wet babies are understandably under developed. The following products are excellent tools that can increase parent’s confidence when bathing their babies and can promote enjoyment and security from both baby and parent! www.mothercare.com and shop.babyworld.co.uk
