A caseload profile is fundamental in providing an effective Health Visiting service to all clients. It is an outline sketch of a defined caseload and reflects the areas of need.

Health Visitors may also use the profile to highlight their work loads and is essential in providing evidence for requested increased man power or work hours. It is also an excellent tool to influence policy.

Collecting data for a caseload profile is very time consuming and validity and reliability of the data very much depends on the practitioner’s skills in collecting data and the tool used in the collecting process.

Here is a copy of a caseload profiling tool which can be downloaded from the computer and used to collect your client/profiling information
