TIRED DAMAGED HAIR

Is your hair looking worse for wear? Maybe with your busy schedules, you haven’t had the time to give
it all the attention it deserves
!

While we are out and about visiting our clients, making sure that they
look after themselves the weather is playing havoc with our hair!
Ultraviolet rays from the sun (that’s a joke I hear you say!!!) break down some of the natural protein bonds in hair. A little exposure to the
sun’s rays won't have too detrimental an effect on healthy hair
(particularly if your hair is dark), but it can be pretty tough on hair
that is chemically processed. Overexposure to wind can roughen
up hair cuticles as well.

Help to restore some vitality and life to your tired locks by:

TIPS TO ACHIEVE HEALTHIER HAIR

1. Normal, dry or chemically treated hair will benefit from a weekly intensive conditioning treatment. Always comb intensive treatment through to the ends of your hair. Cover with plastic and a towel
around the hair for up to 30 minutes (to help trap heat in). If you are short on time look for an instant conditioner to use after each shampoo.

2. Environmental changes throughout the year can leave your hair dry, greasy and flyaway.
It is a good idea to change shampoo when you feel the need (at least every couple of months).

3. Avoid rough towel drying, gently press hair down after washing. If you have long hair use a comb to remove snags, not a brush
.

4. Limit the use of hot blow drying tools, crimpers, and curling irons. Before using them protect the hair by applying
a heat buffering spray.

5. Rinse shampoo out of your hair thoroughly, wash and condition it especially well after swimming in a chlorine filled pool.

6. Finally, eat a well balanced diet including fresh fruit and vegetables and help to ensure your hair receives all it's vitamins and minerals which it requires for healthy growth. If you know your diet is not quite as good as it could be, try a supplement with vitamins and minerals. They must both be used together to benefit your hair and body.
